God knows what's better for you

Proverbs 3:5-6 King James Version (KJV) “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 New Living Translation (NLT) “5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” You are probably wondering why I have the same verse from Proverbs in three translations. Well, it’s pretty simple actually. My favorite verse of the bible just sounds best in the King James version. The language is beautiful.  But,  the New Living Translation really hits home for me. Choosing joy through all life's troubles

Choose to climb to the top of the mountain. " Don’t be dejected and sad, for  the   joy   of   the   Lord   is  your  strength !” Nehemiah 8:10 " The   Lord   is   my   strength  and shield. I trust him with all  my  heart. He helps me, and  my  heart  is  filled with  joy . I burst out in songs  of  thanksgiving. " Psalm 28:7 Sometimes, life knocks us down. Other times life kicks us when we are down. Sometimes it is easy to dust ourselves off and get back up. Other times it is a struggle to stand up and continue to face our life. But we never have to face it alone. But how, HOW do we continue to face our troubles with joy in our hearts and songs of praise on our lips? There's the rub. It isn't easy.
